Troubleshoot sign-in and sessions
Use the sign-in method and email already associated with your 6Tool account. Invitations, partner history, and saved results may be connected to that exact account.
Email and password sign-in
- Confirm the email address, including spelling and any plus-address suffix.
- Enter the current password. Passwords are case-sensitive.
- If it is not accepted, use Forgot password from the standard sign-in page.
- Check spam and filtered folders for the reset message.
- Complete the reset in the same browser, then return to the original 6Tool page and sign in.
Expected result: you return to the requested 6Tool surface under the intended account.
Provider sign-in
- Select the provider option shown by the page, such as Continue with Google.
- Choose the provider account already linked to 6Tool.
- Review the consent window and continue only if the request is expected.
- If a popup is blocked, allow popups for that 6Tool page and retry once.
Do not create a second 6Tool account because the wrong provider account was selected. Cancel and restart with the intended account.
Session or deep-link problems
- Copy or keep the original invite, event, assessment, or partner link.
- Finish sign-in, then reopen the untouched original link.
- On mobile, if the app does not open, use Continue in Browser or the displayed app-store option.
- If a page repeatedly redirects, open the link in a full browser instead of an email or social app's embedded browser.
- If the session has expired, sign in again through the normal sign-in page.
Expected result: the original link opens its intended destination after the session is restored.
Troubleshooting
- No account found: confirm the email and whether the account uses a provider sign-in instead.
- Invalid or incorrect email or password: reset the password; do not repeatedly guess.
- Reset message missing: wait a few minutes, check filters, and confirm the exact email before requesting one more message.
- Wrong role or dashboard: sign out, then sign in to the account that holds the needed role. Do not ask another user to share their session.
- Under-13 account setup must use the parent-led path shown by the product.
If the issue continues, contact support with your account email, intended role, page URL, sign-in method, device, browser, timestamp, and exact error. Never send your password, reset link, one-time code, session cookie, or provider token.
